🌾Crop & Ranch Self-Sufficiency

The food loop that never stops
  1. Plant Red Berries (starter crop) in farming plots — watering pals keep them growing.
  2. Cook on the campfire → cooked berries restore more hunger + SAN.
  3. Add a Ranch (Tech 13) and assign ranch pals (Chikipi → eggs, Lamball → wool) for passive income.
  4. Upgrade to wheat/milk once tech allows — unlocks cake for breeding.

💡 A full loop (crop → cook → feed → breed) makes your base fully independent — you'll never hand-feed again.

💡 Best early money: ranch-based wool selling requires zero risk and funds your first 5,000 coins by level 15.

🏴‍☠️Black Market Merchants

What the black market sells
  • Rare pals (including some you can't catch easily) — pricey but instant.
  • High-tier materials: Ancient Civilization Parts, Carbon Fiber.
  • Schematics & consumables not sold elsewhere.

⚠️ Black market merchants move location and restock — check the current community map before hunting one down. Prices fluctuate; buy parts when cheap, sell when you have surplus.

FAQ

Where the black market fits

Black market merchants sell what the map cannot: rare Pals, bulk materials at a premium and the occasional item the tech tree cannot craft yet. They are a silver sink and a convenience, not a progression path — every product they stock has a farmable source, and the coin-farming routes above are how you pay for the convenience when a single missing material stalls a build.

Ranch products and the passive economy

A ranch with the right Pals produces wool, eggs, milk and honey on a timer, which converts base idle time into crafting materials — the difference between a base that supports a progression pace and one that just looks busy is whether the ranch residents' drops match your actual crafting needs. Rotate ranch Pals as recipes unlock; their passives do not matter for drop generation.

The five resources that gate progression

Most mid-game walls trace back to five materials: Paldium for spheres and tech, Ore and Coal for ingots, Sulfur for ammunition, and Ancient Civilization parts for the tech-tree's expensive rows. The map page covers where each one clusters; the short version is that deserts carry sulfur, mountains carry ore and coal, and Paldium is everywhere in small amounts.

Coin farming without the grind spiral

The routes above are sized to session length on purpose: one black-market purchase should cost one route, not one evening. The honest economy is that most silver should come from raids, boss fights and selling surplus craft output, with the coin routes reserved for the specific purchase that unblocks a build — silver hoarded past the next tech tier is a wasted farm.
