Palworld Raid Bosses
Six raid bosses, every slab recipe, the 10-minute timer rule and the strategies that actually clear them.
How raid bosses work
Raid bosses don't roam the map - you summon them. Build the Summoning Altar (Ancient Technology, unlocks around level 33, costs 100 Stone + 20 Paldium Fragments), craft a Slab from 4 Slab Fragments (found in high-level dungeon and treasure chests), then place the slab on the altar to start the fight. Each boss has its own slab, and both the slab and the altar are consumed by the fight - stock spare materials before a raiding session.
Fight rules: a 10-minute timer (raid fails at zero), the boss cannot be caught with Pal Spheres, your own death does not fail the raid - you only lose if the timer expires or the Palbox is destroyed. When placing the slab you can choose to fight at your base or teleport to the dedicated Raid Area, which spares your real base from splash damage.
All raid bosses at a glance (1.0)

| Bellanoir Libero | 50 | ~450,000 (+1/3 heal) | Dark | Dragon |

Ultra and Master variants (level 80, multi-million HP) drop from defeating the standard versions: Bellanoir Libero Ultra, Blazamut Ryu Ultra, Xenolord Ultra, Moon Lord Master and Hartalis Ultra.
Bellanoir (the entry raid)
The classic first raid. Summon via the Bellanoir Slab (4 fragments from dungeon chests - Ravine Grotto, Mountain Stream Grotto, Cavern of the Dunes, Volcanic Cavern, Sacred Mountain Cavern are the best farms). Fight at level 45+.
- Strategy: mount Chillet (its partner skill converts your weapon damage to Dragon type) and circle her constantly with a Rocket Launcher - every rocket lands for bonus damage against her Dark typing. Jormuntide, Orserk or Jetragon fill the party as Dragon-type damage soak.
- Dodge: her laser and AoE are telegraphed - dodge roll sideways, keep moving, never stand still.
- Drops: Huge Dark Egg (hatches Bellanoir), Ancient Civilization Core x3, Training Manuals, Dark Skill Fruit: Apocalypse.
Blazamut Ryu
The fire dragon of the Sakurajima update. Fire-type with an Electric phase at low HP - bring Water Pals (Jormuntide) for the fire phase and Ground for the electric phase, or lean on Water with a secondary Ground Pal.
- Strategy: stay airborne or kite at range - his ground AoE covers the arena. Water Pal party + assault rifle/rocket spam wins the burn phase.
- Drops: Huge Fire Egg, IV Fruits, Training Crystals, and the slab for Blazamut Ryu Ultra.
Xenolord
The alien invader from the Feybreak update, and the gatekeeper of the Invader from Space achievement. Dark/Dragon typing means Fairy and Ice Pals hit it hardest; it has the highest HP of the standard raids.
- Strategy: level 65+. Build a dedicated raid base, spread Pals out (his AoE hits clusters hard), and bring a long-range weapon - kiting works better than trading blows.
- Drops: Huge Dragon Egg, IV Fruits, Xenolord Ultra slab.
Moon Lord (Terraria crossover)
The crossover boss from the Terraria collaboration. Level 50, ~422k HP, and a multi-phase fight with a heavy DPS check. Beat him for Terraria-themed drops.
- Strategy: strong single-target DPS Pals, stay mobile between phases, keep the Palbox defended - the fight throws constant adds at your base.
- Drops: Huge Egg, IV Fruits, Moon Lord Master slab.
Hartalis
The newest raid (level 70) - Water/Grass early, flipping to Neutral mid-fight. The toughest standard raid and the hardest to gear for.
- Strategy: bring Fire (Blazehowl, Suzaku) for the Water/Grass phase, then switch to Ice or pure DPS for the Neutral phase. Expect a long fight - pack healing and ammo.
- Drops: Huge Egg, Crown of Salvation (Ultra), IV Fruits.
Why raids are worth farming
Raids are the game's premier repeatable loot loop: raid Pals can only be obtained by defeating the boss and hatching its egg (you can never catch them mid-fight). IV Fruits are the raid-exclusive items that lock a parent's IVs before breeding - the backbone of any perfect-stat breeding program. Training Manuals and Crystals provide direct Pal XP, and defeating each standard boss drops the slab for its harder Ultra/Master version.
FAQ
How do I summon a raid boss?
Build the Summoning Altar (level 33 Ancient Tech, 100 Stone + 20 Paldium Fragments), craft the boss's Slab from 4 Slab Fragments, place it on the altar, and pick base or Raid Area. Both slab and altar are consumed.
Can I catch a raid boss with Pal Spheres?
No. Raid bosses cannot be captured during the fight - the only way to obtain them is defeating the raid and hatching the egg they drop.
What happens if my Palbox is destroyed?
The raid instantly fails. Fight in a dedicated raid base with the Palbox on flat ground (not a foundation, which can be destroyed and take the Palbox with it), or use the Raid Area teleport.
What are IV Fruits used for?
They lock a parent's IVs before breeding, guaranteeing perfect stats pass to offspring - essential for building max-stat Pals.
