Support Build Guide
- Weapons: Staff of Sloth (slow/control) or Scepter of Charity (blind/Dot)
- Relics: Path of Unity / Path of Mercy
- Job: slow enemies, accelerate the team Co-op bar, revive allies, enable the DPS burn
Co-op Role & Communication
As the Support role in a 33-player run with no voice chat, communication is your second weapon. Use the emote wheel (Alt / LB) to call mechanics, request heals and celebrate buffs; use pings to mark elites, shrines and danger zones.
The Co-strike meter builds when the lobby attacks together — it fuels Support-relevant relics, so position near allies during damage windows. Co-op Powers require allies nearby: don't pop them solo. In the Torture Chambers and God's Wrath phases, stick with your squad of 6, then the 3-team Ascension split.
Remember: runs succeed when all 33 survive to the boss. Play conservatively during Wrath phases and prioritize revives over personal DPS padding.
Recommended Perk Tree
| Perk | Why |
|---|---|
| Soaring Grace | Mobility to stay near allies and reposition for slow coverage. |
| Astute Erudite | Co-op Power generation — your whole job is filling the team bar. |
| Energy of Plethora | Cast sustain so you can keep slows and blinds rolling through long boss phases. |
Relic Selection
| Relic | Best For |
|---|---|
| Path of Unity | Co-op Power orbs and stronger Co-op Powers — the support's best friend. |
| Path of Mercy | Healing orbs keep the lobby alive through the add-swarm phases. |
| Bloodstained Stole / Muddy Apostle Medal / Lamp of Guidance | Slot-fillers that boost the team's Co-op uptime. |
Your Job
- Slow control — Staff of Sloth keeps adds off the DPS so the burn squad stays clean.
- Blind pressure — Scepter of Charity's Blind (4s) makes enemies flee and take bonus damage; chain it on the marked target.
- Bar acceleration — your Co-op Power generation is the difference between one and three ult windows per boss phase.
- Revive priority — in the Wrath phase, you're the revive lifeline; stay near the fallers.
Stat Conversion & Perk Synergy
Support builds stack utility + Co-op Power. The 1.0 meta runs Bloodstained Stole, Muddy Apostle Medal and Lamp of Purifying Flames with Soaring Grace / Astute Erudite / Energy of Plethora.
| Slot | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Perk 1 | Soaring Grace | Mobility to reposition for slow coverage. |
| Perk 2 | Astute Erudite | Co-op Power generation — your whole job. |
| Perk 3 | Energy of Plethora | Cast sustain through long boss phases. |
| Relic | Path of Unity + Path of Mercy | Co-op orbs + healing orbs keep the lobby alive. |
Your revive role is critical: Energy of Plethora rewards rescuers, so prioritize unsafe-revive discipline — only revive when the area is stable. The Co-strike meter fuels Muddy Apostle Medal, so stay near allies during damage windows.

Advanced Support Techniques
Beyond the basics, elite support players manage three things simultaneously: slow uptime (keep the boss or key adds slowed through every cast), bar acceleration (time your Co-op Power generation to coincide with boss stagger windows), and revive spacing (pre-position near the likely downed player before the mechanic resolves, not after).
The best supports in 1.0 treat their kit as a force multiplier: every Co-op Power they enable for the DPS is worth more than the damage they could personally deal. Track the lobby's Co-strike meter and call the burn — that call is often the difference between a clean kill and a wipe.
