General Questions
What is the Fate System added in Update 1.1?
The Fate System is an optional endgame prestige loop. After finishing the game once, you can reset your perks, weapons, shrine upgrades and relics at the Astrolabe in Dark Woods in exchange for a Fate Level (1-10). Each level grants a 10% bonus to Eternal Shards earned at the end of a run. Earned cosmetics, compendium entries and currencies carry over, but Star-system cosmetics are among the Fate-reset exceptions.
What changed for weapons and perks in Update 1.1?
Perks received a broad overhaul with new effects and rebalanced values, and the Sword of Justice, Staff of Sloth and Scepter of Charity received targeted damage increases. Weapon upgrades unlock after the first weapon Feat, and a hold-to-attack option replaces light-attack mashing.
Is 33 Immortals solo-friendly?
Yes. Matchmaking availability and waiting times depend on region and player population — you jump into a shared 33-player lobby even if you queue alone. Private lobbies exist for friend groups. You're never forced to coordinate outside the game's tools.
What platforms is it on?
PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and Epic Games Store, with Xbox Game Pass availability. Released 1.0 on June 10, 2026 after Early Access in 2025.
Is there crossplay?
Crossplay is supported across the platforms the game is on — the whole point is filling 33-player lobbies fast. Check the in-game options for the exact crossplay state per platform.
How long is a run?
A full run from Inferno through the realm boss is roughly 20-40 minutes, depending on lobby coordination and Chamber routing. Paradiso runs are the longest.
Systems Questions
What do I spend Eternal Shards on first?
Your first weapon (50 shards), then a second weapon's unlock so you have a backup for the realm that counters your main. Weapon Mastery comes after — it's the long-term 48% damage goal.
Why are Paragons so rare?
Paragons gate perk ranks IV-V — the build ceiling. They drop from high-tier Inferno encounters and realm bosses. Spend them on one high-impact perk, not a spread.
What are Ordeals?
Endgame difficulty modifiers that stack up to 12 — the highest challenge tier. They change how runs behave and reward accordingly.
Quick Tips
- Use the emote wheel constantly — it's your only voice.
- Co-strike with nearby players for bonus Dust.
- Pick relics your weapon can trigger, not the highest rarity on screen.
- Build for 11 players (Paradiso), not 33 (Inferno).
- Stay with your squad; isolated players die first.
FAQ
What carries between runs and what resets?
Eternal Shards, unlocked weapons, Weapon Mastery progress, Feats and Dark Woods growth all persist; Dust, Bones, in-run choices reset; Paragons are a persistent currency. The Fate System (Update 1.1) adds the optional prestige layer on top — a voluntary reset at the Astrolabe that converts a mature account into permanent Eternal Shard bonuses.
Is 33 Immortals playable solo?
Yes — solo is viable through all three realms, and the getting-started page covers the adjustments (safer relic triggers, squad-free duo relic choices, feat-first objectives). The honest trade is pace: bosses are tuned for lobby numbers, so solo runs lean on the mastery and shard layers to close a gap that a ten-player lobby closes with bodies.
