Lucifer (Inferno) — Boss Guide

- Location: Inferno (first realm)
- Type: First-gate boss with add-swarm pressure
- Core rule: reads and target priority matter more than raw DPS
Key Mechanics
Lucifer is a mechanics check, not a DPS check — read the room before you damage. Three systems decide the fight:
- Target priority — Lucifer spawns adds and marked targets; the lobby must focus the marked one or the fight drags into an unwinnable swarm. Assign a call-out player to tag the current mark.
- Ground cast objects — glowing zones telegraph attacks; position out of them before the cast completes. Walking through a completed zone costs a revive.
- Stack discipline — stay with your squad; stray players get isolated and deleted. Lucifer punishes solo heroics harder than any other early boss.
Relic Loadout
| Relic Path | Why it works here |
|---|---|
| Path of Vainglory | Missile pressure on the marked target while staying mobile between cast zones. |
| Path of Malice | Crit burst for the focus-target burn phase — strongest when survival is stable. |
| Path of Honor | Safer damage scaling for players still learning the ground-cast timings. |
| Path of Mercy | Healing orbs sustain the lobby through the add-swarm phase — the classic wipe point. |
Lobby Roles
- Caller — one player marks targets and counts cast-zone timers.
- Burn squad — 2-3 high-DPS players focus the marked target on the caller's cue.
- Add control — Staff of Sloth or Scepter of Charity players keep adds slowed/blinded so the burn squad stays clean.
- Sustain — Mercy-path support keeps the stack healthy through the swarm phase.
Common Wipes
- Ignoring the marked target — the swarm snowballs until it's unwinnable.
- Overlapping ground casts — two players crossing the same zone chain-damages the whole stack.
- Straying from the squad — isolated players get deleted, and the revives drain the lobby's time.
Phase-by-Phase Breakdown
Lucifer's fight runs a strict casting → ready → execute cycle. Complete the mechanic during the casting window or eat full damage.
- Frozen Hate — the arena-wide opener. Stand inside the safe lanes that form before the cast completes; standing in the frozen field after execution costs a revive.
- Eternal Sorrow — crystal tears spawn and must be shattered simultaneously to create safe zones. Leaving one alive means arena-wide damage for the whole lobby — this is the classic wipe.
- Last Betrayal — the enrage-style phase. Lucifer chains the previous patterns faster; the lobby must keep executing mechanics while pushing damage.
Use Co-op Powers during the stagger windows — Lucifer takes bonus damage while staggered, and a coordinated 33-player burst can skip an entire phase.
Lobby split: initial groups of 6, then 3 teams for the Ascension sections. Stick with your squad; after the Torture Chambers, survive God's Wrath (map-wide fire) before regrouping for the boss.

Preparation Checklist
- Heal before the final route — entering low turns every small mistake into a death.
- Keep bones for one emergency decision — a last heal, key, teleport or shrine call can decide the run.
- Spend purple upgrades before the boss route — unspent power is wasted power.
- Know your role — ranged damage, melee pressure, support, control or revive help; boss fights are easier when everyone plays their role.
- Co-Strike discipline — focus the same priority target (boss, add, crystal tear, pillar or puzzle object) when the mechanic allows.
Most 😈Lucifer (Inferno) — Boss Guide wipes start before the boss room — a scattered, low-health, under-upgraded lobby fails regardless of individual skill.
FAQ
How do you beat Lucifer in 33 Immortals?
Focus the marked target on the caller's cue, stay out of the glowing ground casts, and keep the whole lobby stacked together — it's a mechanics check, not a DPS check.
What's the best relic for the Lucifer fight?
Path of Vainglory (ranged pressure on the mark) or Path of Malice (crit burst for the burn phase); Path of Mercy sustains the lobby through the add swarm.
Why does my lobby keep wiping on Lucifer?
Almost always one of three: the marked target isn't focused, players stand in ground casts, or the squad splits up and stragglers get deleted.
