Directive 8020: Plan a Survival-Focused Run
Editorial correction: 2026-09-15
This is a planning guide for a survival-focused playthrough. The earlier fixed trust thresholds and guaranteed all-survivor recipe were not supported by the official sources and have been withdrawn.
Track your actual run
- Record the save slot, characters alive and the decision you want to revisit.
- Read the current on-screen objective and choose accessibility settings you can use reliably.
- Before retrying a branch, verify which earlier choices belong to that checkpoint.
- Continue the changed branch forwards and confirm its outcome before moving to another goal.
Choose how you want to handle decisions
The official game offers a Turning Points feature for revisiting key decisions. Use the game's available replay options when exploring another outcome, and check the saved state you are continuing. Changing an earlier choice can require playing forwards again; an old later checkpoint does not prove that the new choice has carried through.
Local and online play
Movie Night supports local pass-the-controller play for up to five players. At this check the official page still describes online multiplayer as a post-launch addition. It does not establish that the older two-player Shared Story mode or a Curator's Cut campaign is available in this game.
Separate achievements from survival
A single achievement description is not a complete survival route. Some official achievements concern a specific scanner or bridge outcome; others concern finishing the story. Check the official achievement index for your target, and do not assume all targets are compatible in one playthrough.
