🎯Destiny & Endings

Brianna's Destiny keys on pilot logic: choosing technical, crew-first options in her dilemmas. Her failure states are the most dramatic — losing her in Chapter 5's shuttle sequence locks the Homeward ending route and forces a Massacre variant. Keeping her alive through the Chapter 7 shuttle escape is the gate to the Homeward ending.

🎮Survival Tips

Her segments are timing-heavy — the shuttle chase and the Chapter 7 landing require near-perfect QTEs. In the Chapter 5 shuttle sequence, save your Turning Point rewind for the final jump; using it early strands her in the bay. Route her to systems console duties whenever the group splits — her technical checks are the only way to bypass locked airlocks.

Role in the crew

Every Directive 8020 protagonist carries a two-way Destiny, and Brianna Young is no exception. This page explains Brianna's role, the opposing paths, and how both feed the trophy list.

The two Destiny paths

Like every protagonist in Directive 8020, Brianna Young has two opposing Destiny paths. The Crew menu shows a bar for each, and the choices inside Brianna's scenes push it toward one pole or the other. The bars are the game's own progress tracker: if a path is half-full, you know which scenes to revisit once chapter select is available. Destiny progress is per-save but the trophies read your best state, so partial runs still bank progress.

Destinies and the trophy list

Use the game’s supported Turning Points and replay options to explore another branch. The previous reference to a Curator’s Cut or Shared Story route was not supported for Directive 8020.

Survival stakes

Destiny is separate from survival. Brianna can die mid-run — failed QTEs, wrong calls in fatal scenes, or being the wrong person in the wrong room during the mimic's act — and the Crew Manifest trophy wants all five protagonists alive at the end. If Brianna dies on your save, chapter select back to the death scene is the recovery path; the save-everyone route page documents the known lethal beats. A dead protagonist also closes off their Destiny progress for that run, so survival and trophy hunting compound.

FAQ

Can Brianna be killed and still finish a Destiny?

A dead protagonist's Destiny progress stops for that run. Chapter select back to the fatal scene keeps both the survival goals and the Destiny bars recoverable.

Do Brianna's Destiny choices affect the ending?

Indirectly but meaningfully — Destiny paths steer which scenes and reveals a character accesses, and several endings hinge on those reveals. The ending set and the Destiny trophies therefore reward different emphasis across playthroughs.

How do I keep Brianna alive?

Pass her Chapter 5 shuttle sequence QTEs (save the Turning Point rewind for the final jump) and keep her on systems duties in split segments.
